I do hate to do this but for a few days I need some time off. Robbie too, I think. But if you girls need any help at all just let me know and I'll come.

As I said earlier and am now officially announcing, the Green Dragon is going to have a Halloween party on October 31st! There will be discounted drinks and prizes for the best outfits if you come in fancy dress, of course. Plus the most charming bartender in the world (that's me!) and a few other less charming ones (I jest).

So definitely come out if you know what's good for you!

Those Order types have a lot of style, I have to say.

Anyway: Monday, October 31st is going to be the first EVER Annual Green Dragon Hallowe'en celebration! Details forthcoming, but do attend! As always, your chances of meeting a famous Quidditch player are pretty high, though I can't advocate anyone who doesn't support The Prides, they are the proprietors team after all.

Hello, general public! I need an idea about something to do at my pub one night this month to stir up a bit of fun and merriment. I think everyone needs to be reminded that fun isn't illegal and never will be.

So, ideas. Karaoke a few weeks ago was pretty grand, but I'm not sure I want to repeat it yet. So; input? My customers are the priority, so of course considering their opinion is the best path.

I feel odd, and frankly a bit juvenile writing this. But for the sake of camaraderie and, you know, the power of the public opinion, I must ask.

When you're dealing with a man, how direct is too direct? Is there such a thing?

Consider it for being for my next book.

I read the greatest essay on brooms as phallic symbols today. It's a slow night at the Dragon.

You know, I almost wish my house had caught on fire during this date. Well, they can't all be winners. Or more accurately, none of them are winners. I guess if you don't find them young you don't find them at all. Had to throw a drink on this one.

(Speaking of my isolated house fires, don't think I've forgotten who is getting right old tomorrow!)

Hey, where's Robbie tonight? He was supposed to come by and well, you know, never showed. I'd say it wasn't that weird, but I did promise him cupcakes and he usually doesn't ditch baked goods.

Apparently bringing baking to a pub will earn you a lot of friends. And get you a flower or two, which is always pleasant. And, well, earn the bathroom some enemies...

I think I might need some extra hands on deck, though, three of us doesn't really cut it for seven nights a week. I am my own boss to allow for some laziness, after all. So if anyone needs a job or knows someone who needs a job, let me know. I'm pretty flexible.

Also, investing in security may have been a good idea. But you know, hindsight is blah blah. I think I do all right on my own for the most part.

And I was having such a good weekend It's horrible when the week starts off on such a sour note. As a Muggleborn, I can't say I don't champion any victory over Death Eaters. But it's so tragic, their poor families and friends must be suffering so much.

And as a writer, I know every bad guy is a good guy in his own mind. Which isn't really a comfort, or anything, it's just a statement of fact.

I think karaoke night was a total success. Thanks for everyone who came out! I think I might have to make this a regular thing... And to whoever locked up Joey and Robbie...thanks

The news the morning was a bit of a shock, though, wasn't it? I've no opinion on it myself, yet, at least. But who knows.

McKinnons, Joey
Robbie, Joey, who locked you in a cupboard?

Was it Neil?

Hello lovelies! In celebration of another lovely Friday after a successful first three weeks of the Green Dragon's reopening, I'm holding a very special event tonight! Muggle karaoke night! Half-priced lagers! Prices for the best (and all right, WORST) performances of the night.

It's a dark time in history for the witches and wizards of England, and I feel like we need a little bit of joy to spice things up. So come out! But fair warning, if you get handsy or start harassing me or my patrons, I keep a Beater's bat behind the bar.

And of course, look for my new book on the shelves in November. Title pending.

For all the recently cured victims of the Tinworth Rot: This weekend (Friday the 16th-Sunday the 18th), from first call on Friday to last call on Sunday, food and drink is half off at the Green Dragon. Come celebrate being alive!

Though I do encourage you to give me all of your money, I can't in good faith charge people that were so close to death.

So come on! And if you try and lie about being in the rot, I will know.

Apparently, kissing hags can cure that horrible virus that has people down in Tinworth rotting.

I don't believe it, really. But that's just the rumour mill for you!

I think the Dragon's first weekend back was a total success! Thanks for all the help, everyone who did.

I'm afraid I've been far too busy with the pub to really pay attention to current events. What a terrible thing. I hope everyone is well or will become well soon!

Who wants to sample some food?

Also, I swear I'm going to work myself to death before the pub even opens.

Ha. Robbie is really happy. Not because we're having drinks or anything but because I gave him a job and a pretty great one at that.... and he's so cute when he's all smiling because all McKinnons are cute, just a fact.

it's a great night to not be in Tinworth. Hate it for everyone who is there.

But I am having so much fun! I haven't gotten to relax in a while.

The Green Dragon opens Friday September 2nd by the way.....

This coming weekend I could use a few volunteers to help begin the process of rebeautifying the Green Dragon. It's been sitting empty since the pub closed a few years back and needs a touch up.

Anyone who'd like to help will be compensated with a drink that night and discounted drinks when the Dragon is fully operational. I'm also still looking for employees! Painting will happen perhaps this weekend, I'm not sure which day specifically but volunteers will be owled.

How about I take you out for a drink for your birthday?

I think somewhere in between getting it into my head purism is right and being kidnapped by a handful of my close friends because I was clearly a "danger" to myself, I decided I really need a better business given the times we're living in.

That said, sometime between now and September (just in time to drop the kids off at Hogwarts and unwind from a miserable summer holiday), The Green Dragon pub, located in Upper Flagley, will be reopening.

For those of you old enough to remember the pub before, a few ... personal issues contributed to it's closing. But I think we've all moved far enough past the Janus Thickey incident, right? And there's a new generation out there who needs to experience the Dragon, so to speak.

I will be taking interviews to hire a few good workers to help me while I accumulate the right amount of funds to get things off the ground. And a few people to help with the grunt work of repainting the building and setting up, you know.

(And remember: the only brew for the brave and true comes from the Green Dragon!)

You know, I think I've been wrong for so many years about so many things! I shouldn't be coy about it, I think I've realised that the purists have been right all this time. As a Muggleborn, I've felt attacked and persecuted when really, I was the one in the wrong. I was bringing in my Muggleyness and forcing perfectly innocent wizards to suffer it.

I have Muggle parents and a Muggle sibling, therefore I am a Muggle! It's simple as that. I shouldn't try and be magical when clearly I'm not. Purebloods have worked hard to keep their culture maintained and the magic where it belongs! How do Muggleborns even happen, anyway!

I've been so rude to so many purists just because I've been blinding by my own self-absorption! Everything you all do is better than how we lesser-blooded people do it. Mudbloods are clearly moving in and usurping positions and I don't blame anyone for wanting to lash out.

I feel so enlightened now! I can't believe it's taken me almost twenty years to realise that I was so wrong!
